Yes, today we celebrate/observe Thanksgiving.
Some forget the real roots of Thanksgiving and often only reflect on what they have to be thankful for on this day and not any other during the year.
Today I’m thankful for my beautiful, loving wife. Two wonderful children whom give me joy and I appreciate every day.
I’m thankful for good health, peace of mind, and resoluteness of composure.
I’m thankful for the future that is coming and that I have a hand in creating.
I am also thankful for the jobs we have, the vehicles we drive and the home we live in.
I’m thankful for living in The United States of America and being allowed the freedoms we have.
Most often I recount my gratitude on a daily basis – every night before I drift off into sleep – never do I take for granted what I have now. I remember what it was to not have all the great things I do now.
Yes, let’s give thanks. And I do give thanks.
Not just today – once in a year – but everyday…lest we become complacent and it slips away, gets taken away, or is denied us due to mental or physical impairments.
