There are and will be times when things happen between people that are less than desirable. We are human and largely bound, dictated, and controlled by feelings and emotions. There is no separating us from the passion (or lack thereof) that lives within us.
In part this is being made in the image of God.
In these times you know and will experience the inadequacy of words. You know time will heal, you hope the parties involved can grow from the experience to become stronger, but in the short term words seem to fall short of offering much in consolation to ease the heavy feelings left behind.
In these situations I offer this. With deepest respect, sincerity, and understanding of the situation.
Thank you.
I’m sorry.
Be strong.

As a father, a husband, an employee, a friend, coworker, a brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, etc. I have caused many emotions, feelings, reactions, and situations. Sometimes they are hurtful, mean, inconsiderate, and uncaring, among others – either unintentionally or (in the past) intentionally.
Along my journey through life I try to minimize the bad and strive towards the good. Sometimes I fail at this. But I continue on and and hopefully learn from each experience.
Sometimes the learning and growth is hidden in plain sight for me to see and find. A great clip illustrating this is:
Be Great!
