Protect Your Mind.
The mind is the wellspring of thought. Thought is the predecessor to action. Action leads to behaviors. Behaviors form habits. Habits shape and determine the course of our lives – and largely “predict” our future.
Your environment, internal and external, shape your thoughts.
Self talk, talk from others, association with others, the music you listen to, the articles, news, books you read – all influence thought.
Looking at nonsense on Facebook – this influences you as well.
Hang out with those with bad habits, language, hygiene, no future – you’ll be inclined toward the same.
Listening to “catchy” music – the lyrics have unequalled powerful control over your mind.
You must be on vigilent watch – every hour, every day. Be mindful of past actions, how you ended up taking them, and what influenced them to begin with.
Don’t like the acions and the results you are getting or have ended up with.
STOP them. Take action, even severe action to correct the issue. Then be on a “mission from God” to control the input that led to the undesired actions and outcomes.
Your life, the quality of your life, the longevity of your life, and the amount of joy, peace of mind, and happiness you experience ALL depend on it.
Short term pain associated with disconnecting from a bad influence in your life too much to handle?
How long do you plan to live is the better question. And how much longer do you want the undesirable results you’ve been getting?
The real question here is: “Is your life and peace of mind worth it?” The only clear headed answer is “Yes!”
Then, the only other question to answer honestly is: “How fast can you take back control over the influences in your life to redirect the course of your future?”
