How Did My Trip Go?

I’m glad to report that our trip went well.

There were no rainstorms…

No thunderstorms…

No hurricanes…

No Pandemics…

No riots…

Nothing at all!

In fact our trip was great – not perfect – but great.

I say not perfect because the “inn” we stayed at was my fourth choice.

The first two choices were booked up the days we wanted to go.

The third choice – their shuttle service wasn’t running and it was too far to walk anywhere. With the COVID still fresh and reemerging in areas I didn’t want to book a ride share or a cab every time we wanted to do anything.

But, other than the inn, the trip was fantastic.

We went to The Henry Ford Museum of Innovation, the Rogue Factory Tour, and Greenfield Village. If you like history, innovation, or anything having to do with American history, I HIGHLY recommend taking the time to go.

It was a place our whole family wants to visit again.

The only thing I regret is not staying an extra day. In doing my research before going, most people (including employees) said you could spend an entire day at the museum and another entire day at Greenfield Village.

We planned for such and spent the entire day at each – and we didn’t get to see everything.

And I do mean the whole day. We were there pretty much from the time they opened until the time they closed. We had the earliest time for the Rogue factory tour, we were at Greenfield Village right when they opened…

And we kind of rushed through a lot of it trying to see and experience everything that was there.

But it still wasn’t enough time.

Now, we did visit the Ford Rogue Factory on the morning of one day. And that took a good couple of hours – and I highly recommend this too. If you’re going to make the trip, you definitely want to see this.

If….when we go back, we’ll plan on spending three whole days so we can take in all of it.

Unfortunately, the website does not do a good job in really fleshing out any of the three – I was genuinely impressed by the whole thing.

The Henry Ford Museum of Innovation…

Greenfield Village…

And The Rogue Factory Tour.

All three were spectacular and all of us enjoyed everything there. I say this because even our thirteen year old and our eleven year old had a great time.

So…following up in my last post….I’m glad to say my theory was busted.

Also, it was nice going on a trip without any calamities or disasters.

One last thing…

My last post was a bit of tongue in cheek. I’m not the least bit superstitious.

I’ve been on plenty of other vacations and trips with no incidents at all. I just thought to point out some of the vacations in the past that did have coincidental “bad luck”.
